M522 is a long-focal automated universal monochromator-spectrograph that is characterized with a high line quality and low-level stray light.
The M522 contains a maximum of two input ports and two output ports. Either a standard input slit is installed on the input port, or an optional crossed input slot. All spectral slits are automated, the width of the slits is software-adjustable. Structurally, the slit also contains a micro-screw and has the ability to manually adjust the slit width. Depending on the modification, the M522 may contain either a turret of four diffraction gratings, or one diffraction grating in the holder.

The M522 monochromator-spectrograph has a wide range of options and accessories that provide efficient light collection from the sample located at a finite distance and at infinity, delivering light to the monochromator with and without an optical fiber, effective aperture matching of the optical fiber and monochromator.
All exit slits are equipped with precision focusing devices; and detector adapters allow easy detector focusing.
Cassegrain lenses allow collecting light from objects located at a distance of 3.5m to infinity.
Adapters PS-2 and PS-3 are designed for the collection of light from a closely located sample and its effective input into an optical fiber. PS-2 features high transmittance in the UV range, while PS-3 has the possibility of installing an edge filter.
