InfraTune is a compact laser source which provides continuously tunable output of the IR spectral range from 1.5 to 17 µm.
To obtain such an unprecedented tuning range InfraTune combines several optical parametric oscillators and a difference frequency generator.
The modular architecture of InfraTune allows to adapt the tuning range easily to your specific requirements due to rejecting all the irrelevant and thus cutting down your expenditures.
Depending on the required operational wavelength range there are four versions of the IR laser system available.
This version consists of the Nd:YAG pump laser LQ 529A, Faraday Isolator and the OPO based on KTP or KTA crystals.
The tuning range of the LP605 based on KTPcrystals is 1,75…2,7µm.
The tuning range of the LP605 based on KTAcrystals is 1,54…3,45µm.
The maximum pulse energy of LP605 is more than 100mJ for the 1,75…2,12µm range and more than 40mJ for the 2,13…2,7µm range.
This version consists of the Nd:YAG pump laser LQ529B, Faraday Isolator, KTP OPO and ZGP OPO. To pump the ZGP OPO the 1064nm pump beams converted to 2,05µm and 2,3µm by KTP OPO.
The ZGP OPO produces tunable output in the range 2,62-3,2µm and 5,8-9,3µm when pumped by 2,05µm. The pump energy 15mJ at 2,05µm provides the output power more than 3mJ at 2,8µm reached and more than 0.6mJ at 6,2µm.
The ZGP OPO produces tunable output in the range 3,0-3,9µm and 5,6-9,3µm when pumped by 2,3µm.
This version consists of the Nd:YAG pump laser, Faraday isolator, KTP OPO and the difference frequency generator CdSe DFG.
KTP OPO produces tunable output in 1,96…2,36µm range.
CdSe DFG produces tunable output in 10,8…17,3µm range.
The energy at 11 µm reached 0,6 mJ, and at 16 µm reached 0,2 mJ.
This version combines three upper mentioned versions LP605, LP607 and LG950. It consists of the Nd:YAG pump laser, Faraday isolator, KTP OPO, ZGP OPO and CdSe DFG.
All versions of the InfraTune laser system can be available upon request for manual and fully automated output wavelength tuning.
To obtain the specified parameters of the InfraTune SOLAR LS recommend to use the LQ529 lasers since they are specifically tailored to solve this task. However, if required, the InfraTune can be adapted for the use with your pump laser.

Generally for detecting optical signals in the IR spectral range expensive sensors with special cooling systems are applied.
Original solutions applied in the SFG unit allow to reduce the cost of the wavelength control module due to the use of low-cost silicone CCD detectors.
